Central Missouri ΣΧ Alumni

The Xi Xi Chapter at University of Missouri – Columbia was installed on Saturday, October 5 along with the initiation of 51 new members. Grand Pro Consul Ryan Temby and Grand Praetor Rob Westrich, Michael Bertz, Dean Thompson, and Dave Knight provided leadership for the ceremonies. Harry Lunt and Mike Barnett organized the Alumni Banquet that followed on Saturday evening. Kudos to the Sigma Chi brothers from St Louis University for their excellent participation in the events. Members of Central Missouri Sigma Ch Alumni Chapter facilitated many of the activities in the weeks leading up to Oct 4 – 5 working with Director of Expansion Des Robinson and Expansion Coordinator Jorvis McGee from Sigma Chi Headquarters.

We discussed the Installation/Initiation at our October 9 Central Missouri Sigma Chi Alumni meeting held at the Broadway Brewery in Columbia. We also heard news about the Installation/Initiation of the Sigma Chi associate chapter at Westminster in the Spring of 2025.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at the Broadway Brewery from 5 -7 pm

Members of the Central Missouri Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter met at the Broadway Brewery on Wednesday September 11. There were also meetings on July 10 and August 14. In the last two years there have been nine members of the Sigma Chi Delta Associate Chapter from the University of Missouri visit our meetings. At the most current meeting, Tribune Stephen Boateng and Liam Redington gave excellent reports on the progress of the Chapter. There are 54 members that will become new members of Sigma Chi at the reinstallation of the University of Missouri Xi Xi Chapter on October 5. Plans are being made for that event. The next regular meeting of the Central Missouri Sigma Chi Alumni will be October 9.

Members of the Central Missouri Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter met at the Broadway Brewery, Columbia, Mo on Wednesday June 12 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

David Pearcy, Recruitment Chairman and Jordan Jenkins, Public Relations Chairman from the Sigma Chi Delta Associate Chapter at the University of Missouri were in attendance and gave an excellent report on the progress of the return of Sigma Chi to the campus of the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2024.

The next meeting is July 10th and the next business meeting is August 14 at the Broadway Brewery.

Members of the Central Missouri Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter met at the Broadway Brewery, Columbia, Mo on Wednesday April 10 from 5 pm to 6:15.

Since our Alumni Chapter is 20 years old everyone present was able to see the Charter issued by Sigma Chi Fraternity on April 17 2004. It is signed by Grand Consul Lee Beauchamp and Executive Secretary Mark Anderson. The names of 65 Charter Members are listed with the document.

Canon Dew’26 , former Recruitment Chair for the Delta Associate Chapter joined our meeting and gave a very positive update on the return of Sigma Chi at the University of Missouri. Bob Aulgur also gave a positive report on the return of Sigma Chi at Westminster.

The next meeting will be May 8 at Broadway Brewery.
