Central Missouri Alumni Chapter met via Google Meet on June 10.
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every even month. Upcoming meetings are August 12, October 14, and December 9. The August 12 meeting will probably be held via Google Meet.
Many Alumni Chapters are successfully meeting online via Zoom or one of the other meeting service platforms like Google Meeting. Some groups have seen an uptick in attendance. Attracting new members who perhaps find online engagement more accommodating to their schedules certainly helps share our messages and introduces chapters to larger Sigma Chi audiences.
The Sigma Chi Colony at Westminster has 9 colonists living in the Sigma Chi House. Recruitment efforts for the second class of colonists are underway. All is progressing well according to Chapter Advisor, Significant Sig Bob Aulgur.
A documentary premiering at the We Are One Festival entitled “Wake Up” on June 4 via YouTube was produced by Alex Lindley, Missouri ‘ 15. Wake Up – Stories From The Fronlines Of Suicide Prevention includes the story of Keller Zibilich, LSU ’14 and the efforts of his parents Michael Zibilich, LSU ’70 and his wife Gayle to help Sigma Chi erase the stigma behind mental health. A full length feature story highlighting Project Wake Up will be featured in the Summer Issue of The Magazine of Sigma Chi.
Sunday June 28, 2020 marked the 165th Anniversary of the founding of Sigma Chi. We have much to be proud of: 350,0000 plus all time initiates, 249 active chapters and colonies, 131 active alumni chapters.
Sigma Chi Leadership Institute’s recent achievement as a state – licensed institution of higher learning enables Sigma Chi to be the only organization in the Greek -letter world to be able to provide third party authenticated and validated leadership and character development curriculum to our members.
